Re: RAR Plugin

dsperber, thanks for the answer! But LOL! What I was really searching for was is FC can treat RAR archives as it does ZIP ones. It is clear for me now: it can't. I was asking that because I started using Total Commander many years ago. Recently, I discovered FC and I like it. But I am missing proper...

Re: RAR Plugin

My original question was this: How can I pack rar archives with FC? Is there a plugin? Or maybe I could configure an external packer and use WinRAR? From the replies that I got, I understand FC does not support RAR packing, not even through plugins. How can I configure it then to use installed WinRA...

Re: RAR Plugin

LOL! I know about Alt + F5. An nowhere on that page says how to install a plugin that handles RAR archives. What I was asking is something else. I can see that FC knows how to handle ZIP archives. How can I make it support RAR archives as ZIP ones? Is there a plugin that can be installed to do that?...

Re: RAR Plugin

I know about that method, but that right-click menu is an operating system facility.
I wondered if FC, as a file manager, manages RAR archives, or if it offers seamless integration of archives, including creating them.
As Total Commander does, or Double Commander.

Re: Double-click on cursor to open file/folder

I'll try to explain on the following picture: https://i.ibb.co/Y82BjCW/Untitled.png In the image above, Program Files is selected. The orange rectangle is the selection cursor. In Windows 10, if I want to open the folder with the mouse, I double-click anywhere in the orange rectangle, which is the n...

Double-click on cursor to open file/folder

I am using FreeCommander XE 2020 build 810a 32-bit public, in Windows XP Pro SP3 and Windows 10 Pro. FC is configured to show items as a list. Problem: in Windows XP, I want to open files and folders with double-click anywhere on the cursor. But FC only opens them if I double-click on icon, name or ...
