Re: Announcement: MergeTrak addon - safely merge subfolder content to parent folder

Here is a Webroot scan of the entire MergeTrak source folder that I used to build the setup program and its contents, which again shows zero anomalies. From what I've educated myself on antivirus scans in the past few hours, not all A/V software produces the same results - I hope my posts have intro...

Re: Announcement: MergeTrak addon - safely merge subfolder content to parent folder

Good evening,

I use Webroot A/V for my systems, which has never flagged/removed a Clarion compiled executable. Here is a scan of the MergeTrak.EXE file via Kaspersky to show it is clean:

Re: Announcement: MergeTrak addon - safely merge subfolder content to parent folder

Stealthware Software is proud to present an upgrade to MergeTrak! The newest version can now move megabytes of data in a seconds as compared to its predecessor - the difference is astounding! The new build is posted on the Stealthware Software web site (http://sdaughtry.com/mergetrak.htm).

Announcement: MergeTrak addon - safely merge subfolder content to parent folder

Stealthware Software proudly releases MergeTrak, a Windows application designed for use as a FreeCommander add-on to safely merge files contained within nested subfolders into the parent folder. MergeTrak, unlike the handful of command line utilities/Powershell scripts that are floating on the Inter...

Re: SUGGESTION - MultiRename Window

Interesting.. I never knew the space bar did that! I would still prefer having the F2 as a hotkey to drop the list, as that is what Total Commander has and I have that keystroke burned into my skull... I would also like to see the length of the Profiles droplist at least doubled - the current width ...

SUGGESTION: Merge Folders

This is something I have sought within every File Manager I've ever used - the ability to merge subfolder contents into it parent folder (but NOT move files into the root folder). For example: Sample directory tree: d:\Docs\Invoices d:\Docs\Invoices\1 d:\Docs\Invoices\2 d:\Docs\Invoices\3 d:\Docs\In...

Re: SUGGESTION - MultiRename Window

Greetings, I have that option checked within my FC; after I select files/folders to rename from the main window on my Windows 10 box, the MultiRename window appears, but the profiles droplist is not activated to autodisplay the list of saved renaming profiles. I have to take my hand off the keyboard...

SUGGESTION - MultiRename Window

Please assign the F2 key as a hotkey to fully display the droplist of saved profiles for folks (like myself) that are more keyboard oriented. At current, there is no keyboard key assigned to that window control to 'drop' the list of saved renaming profiles

Re: 'New Text File' command - suggestion

Dreamer, You are correct - I somehow skipped over that command when selecting Splitter Bar buttons!! I would still like the option to pre-configure a file name so the popup modal window's entry field already contains a valid file name so all I have to do is smack the Enter key to start working on th...

Re: 'New Text File' command - suggestion

Hi BGM - on my Windows 10 box running the latest FC build (761) after I type a filename into the modal window and press OK control is returned back to FC - the file is not opened. Is there a configuration setting that I am missing someone to automatically open the file?

'New Text File' command - suggestion

The 'New Text File' command when executed currently displays a modal window to enter a filename; once a filename is typed and the OK button is clicked the file is saved into the panel's active folder. I humbly request two features be added this useful command: 1. Standardize the default filename (e....

Re: Feature Request - Move Selected Files Up One Level

Good evening,

You are correct - I manually add a '1' prefix to each file in the first folder, a '2' prefix to each file in the second folder before I move them to the parent folder.

Cheers,
Scott

Re: Feature Request - Move Selected Files Up One Level

Greetings! thank you for the detailed reply. I did try your suggestion several times - while it did ultimately work, it wasn't a 'muscle memory' type of operation <g>... I downloaded a copy of FileTools to see if I can use a command line option to achieve the same objective (but I am still hopeful t...

Feature Request - Move Selected Files Up One Level

Scenario: A folder contains 2-3 subfolders that contain files that need to be merged into the top level folder. My process: Enter the 1st folder; select all files, use multi-rename to add a '1' to each file. Select all files, press CTRL-X to cut the files; move up one level to the parent folder; pre...
