Re: Open folder in new tab
Ok, I have it figured out. It was my mistake all along. I only had the path to the folder in the Start folder field, not in the Program or folder field. I'm good to go now.

Re: Open folder in new tab
Thanks for your input. I've never seen this before either. I'll have to wait until Monday to further troubleshoot this.

Open folder in new tab
I just replaced my laptop and installed Build 806 64-bit donor. I created a favorites toolbar with a link to a folder. When I click on the icon the folder opens up in File Explorer rather than FreeCommander like it always has in the past. How do I get FreeCommander to open this folder in the active ...

Using FTP
I'm trying to connect to my phone using FTP. MY phone's file explorer sets up a service that gives me an FTP address. I type this address in the FTP new connection host address field and it gives me this error: 10061 No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. I have ...

I want the FC dialog box to pop up when I do a drag and drop operation. However, I already found out this isn't possible. Thanks.

Re: Copy Move Pop Up Dialog Box
Thanks for your help. It appears that when doing a drag and drop copy or move command there's no option to set to get the dialog as you do when doing an F5 or F6 command. If my conclusion is incorrect please let me know because I'd still like to get that dialog even when I'm dragging and dropping.

Re: Copy Move Pop Up Dialog Box
Are you looking to copy or move a file and at the same time be given the option to rename it?
Exactly! Sorry I wasn't clear.
Thanks

Copy Move Pop Up Dialog Box
I've been using donor version FreeCommander for years, but I haven't had to re-set it up on a new computer for years also. For some reason I can't find the setting where dragging and dropping a file brings up a dialog box that gives the option to rename the file. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.

Re: Save Window Size and Position
I just found the problem. When I let Windows snap to size then save FreeCommander settings it doesn't retain that position. However if I set the size and position without that snap, then save settings it works. So I'm good to go thanks!

Save Window Size and Position
Just upgraded to Windows 10. Installed the latest version of XE Donor. Set my custom settings and saved. In Windows 7 when I sized and positioned the FreeCommander window it was saved and reopened in the same size and position. However, in Windows 10 it won't open in the same size and position. Can ...

How to Use FTP in FC
Can someone tell me how to use ftp in FC? On my cell phone I can have it be an FTP host. My phone app tells me to enter ftp://.... on my PC. I go into FC to use it's FTP function, but I'm not entering the right data in the right fields because FC tells me "11001 No such hos is known." Thanks for you...
