Re: incpomplete list of folders

I see that most folders have the read-only attribute, but the folders that don't show up have the hidden attribute grayed out?
I checked Google and this worked:
attrib -H -S -R d:\*.* /D

incpomplete list of folders

I am a little confused because there are 46 folders in my D: drive, but Freecommander only lists 21. The others are not hidden. Any suggestions?

If you choose "save bug report", you save it as plain text and then send as attachment in Gmail through Chrome.
Thanks!

Outlook?

FreeCommander hit a hitch and wanted me to report it. Fine. But it then tried to open Outlook. Outlook prompted me to set it up. I don't use Outlook and my system is set up to send mail with Gmail through Chrome.

Vipre virus alert?

Vipre has started reporting that fc_setup.exe is a trojan?
Has anyone else seen this behaviour?

Re: Date format - display

Thanks Dreamer. I went through all the settings but missed seeing the time format. Getting old. Simon That's not quite my problem. I have two machines here. One Windows Vista, one Windows 7. They both have their windows date format set to UK (dd/mm/yy), and both have Freecommander set to use the Wi...

Media player

My (Samsung U3) media player shows up under Windows Explorer, but not in Free Commander. How does one access a drive like this? FC would be ideal for copying to and from the media player.

You can try to add .doc and .xls in the dialog "Configure internal viewer" to the list of extensions "Display at startup - as Internet". NOt sure what this means, but even though I have MS Office installed on my machine, F3 doesn't display the contents of an Office file. Maybe it's because I do not...

well, it did not work at all for me, I had to step back to the earlier 2007 version of FC. I see the red cross, but can access the drive. I just wish it would show as mounted, I mount a couple of network drive when the machine starts, but they seem to remain supposedly unmounted until explorer has ...

Search

There's me wanting to do a search for network drives. Some search algorithms seem to think that I want to search for network OR drives, which I must admit is not very logical for me. SO of course I have to redo the search for ALL terms... but then you discover that the spam paranoia really has taken...
