Re: Using an external search program
"Everything" is a well liked search program. You can run it from the desktop, or from the context menu in FreeCommander XE. It's lighting fast, very small and unobtrusive, and very well designed. http://www.softpedia.com/get/PORTABLE-SOFTWARE/System/File-management/Portable-Everything.shtm...

Very Slow Launching
Suddenly FCXE has started to load very slowly. It used to take 1-2 seconds, now it takes up to 20 seconds. I un-checked several settings that I felt would slow it down, including loading the network on startup. No joy, it's still very slow. Anyone else, and is there a solution? Using latest release,...

Re: Undo for file move/copy
Yeah, I know, this has been requested umpteen times already, but I want to keep the pressure on. It's the only thing remaining that I miss about PowerDesk, and it's really, really irritating if I accidentally drop some files in the wrong place, and can't undo the move/copy with a single button. Und...

Re: Info about FreeCommander
As long as the original author has vision and energy to develop his own software, I think it's best. I've seen some good freeware go Open Source and disappear into a black hole. Too many cooks in the kitchen spoils the stew.

621 - Folder Tree Text and Icons are Crowded
I use a single file window and a tree window (Just like Windows Explorer). In the folder tree, I find the text to be awfully crowded together in the vertical, and it looks a little messy. I think the space between folder names and icons could stand to be about 50% wider. On the file side, the text a...

Re: 621 - PDF Viewer Will Not Close
The first "When viewing PDF files, neither File|Close nor the red "X" will close the viewer." is working normal in my 621 I can always close the pdf. Using Windows 7 X64, and it doesn't work for me. Is the "Ctrl+Q" behavior normal? I don't think so. Hitting Ctrl+Q togg...

621 - PDF Viewer Will Not Close
When viewing PDF files, neither File|Close nor the red "X" will close the viewer.
Closing FC closes both FC and the PDF viewer.
EDIT: I have also discovered that the quickview window (CTL+Q) will not close when viewing PDF files. It closes fine on other file types.

Feature Request: Checkboxes for Select FIles and Select All
I'm spoiled on check boxes used by Windows and other explorers!
Edited to say that FCEX is the most feature rich and well thought out Explorer replacement I have ever used. I hope it continues to get refined, but not changed!
Thanks,,,
