How to acheive a fresh install ?
I am using the latest version of FreeCommander, XE 2020 Build 810a 32-bit public, and it is deathly slow. I've given up trying to get help here to resolve it, so am instead seeking a means to totally uninstall it, in the hope I can re-install and start over - hopefully with a little faster operation...

Re: Resolviong the Slooooooooooooooooowness
Well, I completely uninstalled FreeCommander, I removed traces from the registry, and I searched for related files on my hard drive.
NOTHING worked.
It still starts up very slow and is on the way out. History suggested this will only get worse.

Resolviong the Slooooooooooooooooowness
Does anyone have any experience with resolving the nearly 30 second startup delay ? This happens upon first turning on my system and running the program. In addition, as the day wears on there are noticable delays in Freecommander tasks. I've tried updating to the newest version. Before asking for h...

Re: Slow to open .... then unable to use for 10 seconds.
They were all registered but one. I timed the startup before changing that and after ... it did not change. Thanks though. I'm leaning toward a full uninstall ... btu my assumption is that would still leave FreeCommander in the registery. I'm nto sure where the problem is ... but I'm re-examining Wi...

Slow to open .... then unable to use for 10 seconds.
I use version "XE 2020 Build 810a 32-bit public" on a 64 bit Pro Windows 10 system. I normally run with just one tab, the file directory tree, and one file view pane (showing details). I am not showing file/directory sizes. My system has two FLASH drives, and I have NO network. When I open...

Re: Start up delay fix ?
I am running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit with Freecommander xe 2018 build 770 32-bit public. It is NOT just the first tmie after boot up. Though if I close it, reopen it it seems faster. I know I open and close it several times a day and it is still slow at the end of the day. I use just a single file fol...

Re: Search results -->right click ->SendTo
"I would search the registry for all instances of C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\notepad++.exe
and replace them with C:\Program Files\Notepad++\notepad++.exe"
I said in my original message that there were NONE to be replaced.

Search results -->right click ->SendTo
I use FreeCommander XE 2017 Build 740 32-bit on Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Version 1903. I am familiar with adding items to the SendTo menu. For example, I added an item in the SendTo folder so that when I am in FreeCommander / Windows Explorer, I can right click on a file, and select “Send to Notepad++”...

Copying files from Anroid/camera not working
I am using FreeCommander XE 2017 Build 740 32-bit public on a Win 10 64 bit i7 system. I recently noticed that I can use FreeComander to browse to a USB device like my Samsung S4, or a Canon camera, and go through directories, but I can not copy files from those devices over to my PC. I'm sure I use...

Drives listed twice in Windows 10
I am using version XE 2016 build 715 32-bit public on a new install of Windows 10 64 bit. In Windows Explorer I saw that every drive (I have several) is listed twice (once under 'this PC', and then again one level up). I found a post online about a regedit change to change that. It worked. FreeComma...
