Re: quick cleanup/collapse of expanded folders?
Thanks a ton Marek! It closes out of the drive I'm in, and "This PC", leaving me up at "Desktop" (instead of the drive), but still a *lot* better than what I've been doing. Apologies for not finding it on my own.

quick cleanup/collapse of expanded folders?
Any tips for collapsing a series of expanded folders? I keep navigating into a series of expanded folders/sub-folders, then when I'm done, collapsing all of them one at a time to get back to a clean panel with only the root of the drive open. I close them all one at a time (instead of just the root ...

Re: help adding buttons to the "Address Bar - actions toolbar"
sorry again, I don't think it's a "shortcut" that I want, that seems to be just for keyboard shortcuts. Trying to make a (button? link? folder?) right where the red arrows are, so that when I click on it, the (browser?) opens a particular folder.

Re: help adding buttons to the "Address Bar - actions toolbar"
So sorry, have studied the faq page five times now and can't figure out how to add a shortcut where the red arrows are. I have about 10 folder/shortcuts inside my favorites folder, and I'd like to move of them up and out of the favorites folder so they show up where the red arrows are. Many apologie...

Re: help adding buttons to the "Address Bar - actions toolbar"
Super close! I've got the favorites folder on the address bar, and I want to keep that, but I'd like to move a few of my favorites (from inside the favorites folder) up (and directly onto) the address bar.

Re: help adding buttons to the "Address Bar - actions toolbar"
I am probably not doing this right: I followed "Tools > Favorite Tools > Favorite Tools Edit" (Shift-Ctrl-Y) I clicked "Add New Item" on the left, and entered the Name and the "Program or Folder" (folder) on the right. Under the "General Options" tab, I also c...

help adding buttons to the "Address Bar - actions toolbar"
I'd like to add a few buttons to the "Address Bar - actions toolbar" (they're for the folders I have "pinned to Quick Access" in Windows), ... but not having any luck I already have a "Favorites folder" icon in the "AB- actions" toolbar, but it's a little over...

cancel re-compare after synchronize completes?
After a 'synchronize' completes, is there a way to make it *not* re-launch and repeat a second comparison? Both the 'cancel' button and the 'close window' button ('X') are disabled when the comparison is in progress, and (10 years into it) for the life of me, I can't remember that it's pointless to ...

Synchronize dialog opens, then closes, on public network folder
When I open the "Synchronize" dialog to sync to a folder on my network, it opens successfully for a couple of seconds, and then automatically shrinks and closes. The network folder has public access, and the sync works from other computers on the same network (also running FreeCommander). ...

Re: Drag and Drop into FC (from winexp or desktop) locking u
Bummer! Same issue in 64-bit donor. ;( Something peculiar: Using an app called 'Team Viewer' I opened a remote control session from another machine, and even though I could not drag/drop into FC while sitting at the console, the same FC instance did let me drag/drop from the desktop while I was remo...

Re: Drag and Drop into FC (from winexp or desktop) locking u
No luck, but thanks for the suggestion. For future ref: killing off explorer.exe blanks the screen, but it all comes back by launching 'explorer' from the Task Manager under File > Run new task. Have (finally) donated and installed the 64-bit donor version, fingers crossed hoping that will fix it. M...

Drag and Drop into FC (from winexp or desktop) locking up
On Windows 10 running FC XE 2016 Build 715 32-bit public I periodically get locked out from dragging files or folders into Free Commander. When this happens, I can still drag and drop FROM FC out to the desktop or to other windows/apps, or within FC between panels or just to different folders within...

Re: left panel = tree, right panel = details without tree
Almost! Looks like that un-wires both the left and right panels (so the tree doesn't follow either one).
Is there a way to keep the left panel wired to the tree view, so the tree follows the left panel but doesn't follow the right panel?
