Re: error message when free cmd starts up

I found the INI file and copyed it to the dir that the main exe is that starts the program. Now I get an "Access is denied" when I start the program. When I click on the OK button then the program opens up and run's ok.

1st off I have the latest version of Free Commander XE. I went looking for the ini file, and I couldn't find it.

Your config file (freecommander.ini) is probably corrupt.
Get older backup file.

re: a cmd that I can't find

This is on a Sony laptop model VGN-NS110E, OS Win 7 Home 32 bit. Everything was setup fine. 2 side by side panels with a tree for each panel. When I turned on and booted up the laptop. Free Commander automatically popped up on the desktop without been called to open. And now Free Commander only has ...

Re: I may have messed with the colors

No tanks to anyone responding to this post. I stumbled on how to reset FreeCommander to the default fonts and colors. I found a post on line that said to del the INI file. I found the INI file in "AppData > Local > FreeCommanderXE > settings". By del the "FreeCommanderXE" dir. It forced the Freecoma...

re: overall font size

I need to increase the over all font size of FreeCommander. I have to wait 9 more months before the VA will make me stronger computer eye glasses. Right now I have to increase FireFox magnification by 150 to make things readable without leaning forward, closer to the laptop screen. I have to do the ...

Re: To the Board Administrator

I did use one capital letter and it didn't take. Right now I am still using the last computer generated generic password that I got via email. Remember, you must respect password rule: Password must be between 6 and 100 characters long, must contain letters in mixed case and must contain numbers. mi...

Re: To the Board Administrator

The problem is not in the password recovery system. That works fine. The problem is every time I reset the password after logging in with the computer generated generic password. Your system does not retain the new password that I type in. After I log off and the next time I try to log on with the n...
