I totally agree with the above, opensource > freeware. Untill then please don't get hit by a bus Marek, or put this fine piece o' software in your testimony and leave it to sourceforge... Or else, couldn't you provide some kind of plugin-option, that could be open source? A plugin that lets other pr...

Share your portable drag 'n drop favorite tools

It would be nice to have a topic where we share our favorite portable and freeware/opensource programs that you use in favorite FC-tools. Hope its ok to make a topic like this here, so others can also contribute programs to it. I discovered not all programs support drag 'n drop in the way of loading...

7zip has a systemwide context-menu, but you have to tell every system you are on you want to use it. You can set this in 7zip self, open 7zip, go to tools > options > plugins > options > here it is! When you apply your settings here the menu will be shown in FC too under your rightmouse-button. Opti...

I only know to your first question a solution. Favorite folders. (add through: Folders > Favorites > edit

These are binded to shift+ctrl+number. you can setup left and rightpane optional and the shortcut will change both simultaneously (eg: downloads left; music right ;-))

Recent documents is a folder in XP. Normally you can find it in:
C:\Documents and settings\Your Username\Recent files\
You can make a tab in FC and lock that tab so you have quick acces to it. Or use a shortcut somewhere in a folder.

Download portable winamp lite, extract it, throw it inside fc-installmap and define it as a favorite tool with relative path. Now it wil appear in fc's toolbar and you can drag 'n drop musicfiles on that winamp-icon, and winamp will load the dropped files/folders in it's playlist. Portable and witho...

Make favorite tools portable too.

I am putting together a portable package with Freecommander as main app for my usb-key. I added about 25 standalone programs to favorite tools (most with drag 'n drop feature, which is very cool implemented in freecommander). How can i make the path to these programs relative? I mean in a way that f...
