you could switch off the monitor; that should help!
no offense JT! I'm facing the same flickering issue along many others bugs.
XE is out of beta but feels and behaves more like an alpha with plenty of (unfixed) bugs and half-baked features.

Re: favorite toolbar: drag n drop won't work for item at pos
more drag & drop bugs. when pressing F3 or the viewer icon my own viewer for *.avi starts as expected.
when dragging & dropping the same file, FC internal viewer starts instead of my viewer.

Re: Extremely slow start-up
yeah, this bug is one of my favorites. I don't know your exact program settings and what you trying to achieve... in my case I had my favorite tools bar pointing to a network folder, where XE tried to fetch the folder icon from an mapped offline drive; because of that the start up took ages. I fixed...

Re: FreeCommander sees a file which does not exist
suggestion 1: go to settings, File /Folderlist and check show hidden files, show system files to show all files. suggestion 2: close XE, rename SETTINGS folder (portable version) to reset XE suggestion 3: take a screen shot of the error and post it here (don't expect to much, bugs often don't get fi...

Re: how to compare files in flat view
thanks joby_toss. with you settings folder compare (alt+v) works as expected even in flat view . (maybe your settings should be set as standard when fresh installing FC...) alt+v is pretty fast, but not useful in some cases because it checks only file name and file size but not file content (CRC). e...

Re: how to compare files in flat view
yeah, I know there is a myriad FREE comparison tools like winmerge and freefilesync just to mention some. For file by file binary comparison I usually use a FREE hex editor. What you cannot do with the tools above nor with your suggestion (afaik) is a flat view file (CRC) comparison. Unfortunately t...
