Follow tilde (~) paths in address bar into home directory
When reading software documentation, you may be told to change something in a directory like "~/.app". It would be great if such a path could just be pasted into FreeCommander's address bar. "~/" at the start of the path would, if no literal relative path like this exists, have t...

Re: Shift+F10 not the same as context menu key
Shift+Ctrl+F10 indeed shows a more useful context menu that overall looks like the mouse-initiated one. I complained because Shift+F10 is a long-established alternative of the context menu key (not established by FreeCommander). So, this inconsistency/discrepancy between Shift+F10- and mouse-/contex...

Re: Search dialog doesn't find content of folder with semicolon in its name
This specific problem doesn't exist anymore. However, the following happens: In the search dialog, next to the search-in textbox, press the "+" button and "Browse..." ("Durchsuchen ..." in German). Choose a folder containing a semicolon. The path of this folder was now ...

Shift+F10 not the same as context menu key
I currently use a keyboard without context menu key that I was accustomed to make use of. So, now I'm using the alternative Shift+F10. However, after some time of confusion, I now realized that Shift+F10 shows a context menu with some more and some less entries (also in submenus) than when the conte...

Prevent horizontal scrolling while dragging
I display FreeCommander with just one file/folder list in detail view with columns. Often, when I want to drag a file into another app and move over FreeCommander's window border, its file list is scrolled horizontally, which, of course, will never be the destination of my drag-and-drop operation. T...

Re: Copying list of directories and files
Hi and thanks for answering, I'm glad to hear the feature is already available. I never need to copy the details. I only always need the full paths + names version. However, I still regard my suggestion as a very good idea, because it utilizes the standard shortcut Ctrl+C and doesn't disturb any oth...

Re: Copying list of directories and files
If you want to see how it can work, I suggest taking a look at foobar2000 when copying a playlist entry, because it does exactly what I described.

Re: Command line parameters not correctly working
Windows security prevents normal tasks to control tasks running enhanced. I imagine there has to be a way for interprocess communication between a non-elevated and an elevated process, initiated by the non-elevated process. Stop running FC with enhanced rights. It is not needed for normal operation...

Re: File download dialog appears when just selecting a file!
Anyway, why in the world is a download window appearing when using a file browser? Because you have no plugins able to read those files. You can remove them from the Viewer settings (or use a plugin like sLister, for example): That's good to know. Thanks for the effort. Another problem I encountere...

Re: File download dialog appears when just selecting a file!
Thanks! That solved it. It was residing below the second files view which I have resized out of view. Anyway, why in the world is a download window appearing when using a file browser? As far as I can see, that should never happen. It's just strange. Another problem I encountered is that the second ...
