What is the deal with the toolbars getting all rearranged whenever I customize them! Sometimes FC will put all toolbars on one line and some off then get truncated; so far I have not figured out a way to restore the truncated toolbars. you can go up to the parent folder by double-clicking on empty space in the panel/tab or by pressing the backspace key

FC allows you to customize all keyboard shortcuts to your hearts content

Middle clicking a folder opens it in a new tab in the same pane.

What I prefer to do is right click the tab and use "Copy tab to other panel".

There is a command available for this but it does not open a new tab in the other pane, it uses the active tab in the other pane. Go to Extras... Keyboard shortcuts... since we are talking about GUI items it is significant that you be specific about what you mean by drive letter... do you mean a drive letter on the drive bar? If so, there is a setting (Extras/settings/view/drives/show with drive select/root folder) that will do what you want.

I see the same behavior and I use LiteStep.

If I switch back to explorer FC refreshes the drive bar normally so I'm pretty sure that LiteStep is causing the problem in my case.
