Re: SUGGESTION - Keyboard shortcut for reset settings for Multi-Rename

Working off a NAS, even though it's 10GbE, I use these settings. So refreshing is less of an overhead.

Re: SUGGESTION - Keyboard shortcut for reset settings for Multi-Rename

I've remapped F5 to refresh, F6 to move and F7 to copy and F8 to new folder.

It just feels more natural to me.

SUGGESTION - Add history entries in alphabetical order to new folder dialog

History options here would be nice.

Maybe also have the last used folder name automatically in the text field when the dialog appears.

This would keep FC in line with how other text fields behave. Filter, search fields etc.

Re: SUGGESTION - Keyboard shortcut for reset settings for Multi-Rename

Oh sorry. I tried that and nothing happen just to check as I've remapped it to in FC to F5. That's why I thought CTRL+R was free. My bad.

IMO, I think F5 is a better shortcut for a refresh to stay in line with most apps.

Re: SUGGESTION - Keyboard shortcut for reset settings for Multi-Rename

The shortcut would obviously be only in force when that dialog is the current (focused) window.

I said in the original post that I'm aware of the start with the default option.

Re: Making Multiple empty (sub)folders at once

Here, I came to the forum just wanting the same thing only just to create some blank folders so I knocked this up. Just save it in FCs settings folder so it won't get lost if you use a portable build and create a new toolbar for this after saving it to something like DOS - Make Directories or someth...

SUGGESTION - Keyboard shortcut for reset settings for Multi-Rename

There's an option to start MR with defaults but generally, I have that disabled.

A keyboard shortcut for this would be useful.

Shift + R or Ctrl + R I suppose would suit.

I fixed this issue by only applying it to files no older than 100 years...

RESOLVED 800 - Folder is appearing as read only when it's not possible

See attached the problem and a zip link to the problem folder also for testing. File: https://we.tl/t-Iio6WeNfnA Image showing problem: https://i.imgur.com/ehzUfiam.jpg I fixed this with a batch file inside that folder: @echo off rem Place this inside a folder and run to remove the read-only attribu...

SUGGESTION - Position of dialogs relative to mouse position

See attached. Position the dialogs at the time of running the command relative to the mouse position. There's a windows equivalent setting for the mouse in the settings whereby the mouse is transported to god knows where the default button of any popup pops up. https://i.imgur.com/d9BYIbF.png It wou...

Re: SUGGESTION - Add icon size setting for the address bar

I'm thinking of people not using these hi-res displays in small offices where equipment may not be to other standards and even laptops.

My res is 2560x1600 but upgrading to a 42inch 4k panel soon.

So this solution would need to cater for a lot of different scenarios.

SUGGESTION - Add a folder watcher for favourites

It would be nice if FC could have a folder watcher for folders in favourites so it could auto relink the path should the original folder be moved. That is if this wouldn't be too demanding on the program. Or if that's not possible, display an icon for any broken folder paths. https://i.imgur.com/v8I...

Re: SUGGESTION - Add icon size setting for the address bar

Or left justify it and have the option of a multi-row address bar where the buttons flood into the next row so if it fills up so there could be 3 rows if anyone had that many buttons. This means the address bar would remain independent from the address bar toolbar which in turn would give the maximu...
