I can SEE all the files in a directory, but how can I export a list of them to, say, a text file? E.g., back in the day you could do a command: dir > filename which would produce such a list.

OMG, you're absolutely right! I'd tried that, but it appeared that a folder would be moved INTO another folder (rather than being allowed to drop BETWEEN folders) so I never "dropped" it. Thanks to your suggestion, it does EXACTLY what I wanted. Thank you SO much!
