Re: File deletion issue
There must be something incorrect about the way I'm doing the delete or my system has some strange setting. Thanks for trying to resolve this. Since no one else has reported it, and it works for you, the problem must be at my end. I have an easy workaround so I think neither of us should spend any m...

Re: File deletion issue
I downloaded the portable version, set up a similar file structure, tried to delete as before, and got the same error. I've added a screen shot showing the file structure. In this case I'm trying to delete all .jpg files under the Temp Directory. It finds them correctly but won't delete them. There ...

Re: File deletion issue
Hi Marek,
I am deleting with the menu item. The delete method in setting was set to "Use Windows". I also tried setting the delete method to "Use FreeCommander" and I got the same result. I will try to post a screen capture of an example and the dialog box I get.

File deletion issue
One additional comment on my file deletion issue.
It is as if the file path to the files to be deleted is truncated one level above the files to be deleted.

File deletion issue
Before I describe my issue I want to say I've used FreeCommander for years and I think it is a marvelous piece of software. I'm often finding new ways to use it. Thanks for making it so useful. Either I have found a bug in FreeCommander Build 852 Donor or I misunderstand how one part works. I am run...

Re: 807,808 Folder tree renaming problem
I have a similar issue. FreeCommander donor 808 64bit Win 10 Ver 1903 Bld 18362.535 If I try to rename a folder, it works as long as I use lower case letters or spaces. Pressing Shift for upper case results in no character being typed. Pressing Delete once has no effect. Pressing it twice results in...

Re: Possible size error in structureless mode?
Thanks for the quick response. The bug is quite minor and easy to avoid by just using Plain view - files. I was turning on the Plain view -folders, files in both panels and got different size results . I also get different size results with Plain view - folders in the two panels. The plain view - fi...

Possible size error in structureless mode?
I'm running Free Commander XE 2014 Build 650 under Win 7 Service pack 1 and my two panels are arranged vertically, not that that should make any difference. Folder trees are on for both panels. If I select the same folder having subfolders with files in both panels and then select structureless view...

Problem with structureless view in XE 641 under win 7 x64
When I select a folder and press Ctrl B the associated file window turns green but no files are shown. If I do the same thing in FC 2009.2B the proper list of files appears. Have I got a setting wrong or is this a bug? I'm assuming that plain view, structureless view and flat view are essentially th...

Re: New Android phones/OS invisible to FC
I have the same problem with my HTC DNA smart phone. There is no indication of it being connected. In Q-Dir 5.55 it shows up as a portable device with the name HTC6435LVW. The same name shows up in Explorer with no reference tp a portable device. Both explorer and Q-Dir allow me to read and write fi...

Thanks for the quick reply!
I used the zip file as you suggested, and that took care of my problem.
I appreciate the quick help.
Thanks again,
Bob Roby

Question about upgrading to new version
Is there a way to keep all my customized settings when I upgrade to a new version? There are so many ways to configure FC that I forget everything I did between upgrades. By the way FC is an extremely useful and well thought out program. There is rarely a case when I can't get it to do what I want. ...
