Just wanted to thank for the new update public beta. It solved a bunch of issues I had with FC (performance mainly) and dissolved all the thoughts of going for some another file manager.
I also very much like new icons )
Thank you very much

FC going open-source?
I'm kind of a long time user of FC. I enjoy it quite greatly, use it every day, but I think there things that are, well, old. For example user interface is going a bit rusty IMO and experience smoothness of using it is not that good. For certain tasks it is plain laggy and slow. It lacks dark mode a...

Re: Non-default Color Scheme slower rendering
Yes, I can reproduce it with portable version. Choosing Detail View (Ctrl+F2). Try for instance open some folder with plenty of files and now scroll down/up. With white_default it is more snappy and faster. With any other colour scheme it is not and to show lines with name, size, date etc takes long...

Non-default Color Scheme slower rendering
When changing a color scheme to any other type (like Dark Grey Flat Default) than using default (white) the performance of rendering the view of files/folders is rather slower. Using normal white color scheme is fairly OK. I am using Details View (Ctrl+F2). The problem is present on any of the drive...

All of the icons and everything else in the Free Commander window blinks and cycles in the same pattern over and over about a 1 minute interval. I have b...

Re: Unable to open more than 15 files at once (sound files-foobar2000)
Have you tried the same in Windows Explorer? Yes, in Explorer this work fine. I can even open like 210 files at one. I select them and hit Enter. It simply opens. In FCXE when I select them and hit Enter, it asks wheter all filles are to be opened. I say YES Foobar opens only the last file of the s...

Unable to open more than 15 files at once (sound files-foobar2000)
FreeCommander XE 2020 Build 810a 32-bit public Windows 10 Pro, 1909 (Build 18363.900) I'm not sure whether this is specific to Foobar2000 only. I'm using it only. Describe the steps to reproduce a bug (if possible): Select 16 files (sound files) to open at once and hit enter -> foobar opens only one...

Re: laggish UI - panels
Well I bought a new computer with 8-core i9 and the problem is gone. It takes a blink to load the panels now. The process is the same but it takes about 0,1 sec to load now. So this is not an issue for me anymore. I only experience it on my laptop with i5 7gen U processor. But it is OK to wait a lit...
