Re: Internal viewer Delete default shortcut F8
Delete with F8 has been in good old Norten Commander since the mid 80s of the last millennium

Re: Multi rename - use counter only if needed
I also sort photos from different sources using the EXIF data. The EXIF data are written in front of the "old" file names. This means that there is always a unique file name given. Example: Old file name: "IMG-4711.JPG" new file name "2222-12-12 17_21_33 IMG-4711" or &q...

Re: FC going open-source?
I've also been using FC for many years.
But FC slowly, rusty? No no no!!
The user interface is clear and easy to use.
Strange designs usually only make software worse.
I hope FC stays as it is: perfect (or almost perfect ).

Re: Nice features, but it's TERRIBLY slow and laggy
Hi,
I have no problems with Thumbnail View. All directories (even very large ones) are open immediately and all documents are
immediately visible. It is definitely not up to the programmer! It is probably due to the 32-bit systems that are no longer up to date.

Re: 849: UseOutdatedBmps=1 doesn't seem to work
Hello, it didn't work for me at first either. The selection of the "OutdatedBmps" was not possible. Is the code line correctly stored in the INI by the FC after closing and reopening? Do not edit from the open FC (INI is in use) but use another FC instance or an external editor. We use FC ...

Re: Icons for toolbars an menus
Hello Marek,
In the 847 version some ICONs have apparently been omitted. It's a shame because I used some of them.
Can you possibly make the download available so that the can reactivate afterwards !!
Would be great, thank you

Re: create option "Create new folder" in Copy window (F5)
You can use switch F7 (new folder) before copying. That works great!

Re: copy dialog, option presurf File / Folder timestamp.
In my "old" installation I have toggled the options copy with Win or FC and the option preserve file / folder timestamp back and forth several times.
Now it works correctly. I therefore assume that the option was not correctly stored in the INI.
Thanks for your help Dreamer

Re: copy dialog, option presurf File / Folder timestamp.
I only copy "normal" folders, no archive, nothing packed, etc. Drives are not compressed.
Test with a new FC port installation has already been carried out -> see above
There are different results when copying with win or FC mode, see above (bevore your last post)

Next test: New FC841port from HP, unpacked and used without changes, same test as above: Files / directory / subdirectories keep old date File / folder functions were predefined on Windows use Changed to use FC -> same test -> directory / subdirectories get new date If I switch between FC and Win in...

Re: copy dialog, option presurf File / Folder timestamp.
I've just tested Copy 10 directories with subdirectories and different files (TXT, DOC, MP3, etc.) - from SSD to another directory on the same SSD: - From SSD to an empty partition on the same SSD The same result in both variants, all files keep the old date, all directories and all subdirectories a...

Re: copy dialog, option presurf File / Folder timestamp.
Hello Dreamer sorry, presurf / preserve was a mistake of mine. Yesterday I copied (F5) some directories with pictures from SSD to a new USB stick. That's when I first consciously noticed the "problem". In Settings -> File / Functions folder -> General, all 4 options are set to FC Win 10 pr...

copy dialog, option preserve File / Folder timestamp.
Hello everybody, In the copy dialog there is the option presurf File / Folder timestamp. If I copy several directories with the option set, the individual files keep their old date, but the folder gets the current date / time. I mean a long time ago the directory kept the old date, but I'm not sure....
