ejecting disc

Is it safe to eject a disc while you have the drive being viewed in FC?. It won't do any harm, will it?.

Ability to cache thumbnails

I'd really like to see this capability (cache thumbnails), I don't like having to wait every time I open a folder with pictures. Currently FC needs to read each and every visible file on screen, if you scroll down, then it needs to read the rest of the pictures-and it could be a very long list.

Disable reading of CD\DVD on load

Is this possible?, it really slows down FC load times, having to read the contents of a CD\DVD. The disc spins for nothing, for one minute.

Lets say you want to view your, 'My Pictures' folder, but your current view is 'List'. You then need to select view 'thumbnails' in order to see them, then before or after, switch back to 'list'. In Windows Exporer, each folder's view style is remembered. Am I the only one who finds this useful?, if...

Folder view history

FreeCommander is great, but the one thing I miss from Windows Explorer is the ability to keep history of folder views. To remember the view of thumbnails in one folder, list view in the next, then view details in the current folder. Could this be added in a future release?.

Uninstall question

I uninstalled FC because I want to install the latest version (which I haven't done yet). At the end of the uninstall it said that there were some files left over to delete manually. I searched for the left over files in "Documents and Settings", "Program Files" and else where, b...

Set image as wallpaper

In Windows Explorer, when right clicking on an image it brings up the context menu. In the menu there's an option to set the image as wallpaper. This feature is very convenient, could you add this to FC?.

Needing urgent help!!

I moved a large number of picture files to a new location. I didn't create a new folder first, thinking FC would create it automatically with the path given. Before moving the files a dialog box popped up asking if i'd like to replace a file with the current one. I hit "yes" and it moved t...
