Re: Wrong color for folders

There is no difference between a folder or file for the read-only attribute. The Checkbox Ordner (Folder) not set does not mean you have selected files only. This box is to select the attribute folder and nothing else. I don't believe this is correct. The attribute "Folder" (Ordner) is set by the t...

Re: 64 bit version crashes if high memory adresses are used

The registry key helps my to find a strange bug in our tool which only occurs if high addresses are used. So in my opinion this registry entry is very helpful for software developers. FreeCommander is the only tool on my computer which crashes if this registry key is set so I suggest Marek to look ...

Re: 743 ignores default programs to open files

Confirmed for FreeCommander XE 2017 Build 743 64-bit donor
Tested with jpg files.
Explorer and other file managers on the system use the registered tool for displaying pictures.
FC just uses Windows Photo Viewer for unknown reasons. :(

This registry settings are nonsense and only produce problems for problems not aware of it.

Re: fcZip

I have installed the Total7zip plugin and assigned it also the Zip extension.
This allows of course many more formats (7zip, Wim, ISO for example).
And you can add / remove files from an Archive of course.

Re: Renaming problem

You know how it works, so its no real renaming problem.
For me Explorer behaviour is wrong in this case.
I like the Total Commander way, it doesn't accept clicks on path while in renaming mode.

Re: Portable version doesn't recognize environment

There is no real need for the PortableApps version of FC.
The portable zipped version is all you need to run from any place.

Why don't you spend some small amount of money ?
You will have access to the actual beta releases and also the x64 version.

Re: Set FreeCommander XE 2015 As default folder view in Win

This might be the dumbest question ever, but all of you seem to know exactly where to paste that code. As far as I know, no one ever specified what program to paste it into, and I don't know how to access the FreeCommander install directory or whatever it was. You don't paste it into any program. S...
