Go to Extras->Settings->Custom columns and define your columns view with an empty condition. For auto size use the column size.

In the version 2009.02b and XE the elements are in quotes.

To hide the tabs uncheck the option: Settings->Folder tabs - Tab Management: Always keep one tab open

It does not work now if you enter the edit mode with the mouse (fixed).
If you use the button, than you can change and save the filter.

Works fine for me with the current version http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/Total7zip.html.
"alwaysWait7zip=1" should be defined in Total7zip.xml.
