I would like that, too. It happens pretty often to me, that a meant to be copy ends up in a subdirectory, as I forgot to remove the "Unzip into subfolder" or even I forget to remove "unpack in the same directory". It gets a search from there. Anyhow, I would like that ALT-F6 would then work inside o...

Rel314:Renaming a file with 2 same extension will remove one

Hi.

if I hit F2 on a file that has two times the same extension,
eg: "test.txt.txt", freecommander will remove the second .txt autmatically if I just hit ok in the dialog.

I dont think that this is intended ?
It does not do it eg. with "test.aaa.txt"

Rel314: ALT-F9 will only be visible if folder is selected

Hi. I dont know if this refresh issue is only on my PC, but I see with the latest release (314) that after pressing ALT-F9 or using "Folder/Size of Folders" that the size will only become visible, when I hoover the mouse over the entry or move the selection with the keyboard over the folder. Regards...

Rel314: Junctions are followed to the real-destination

Hi. If you have junctions (in my situation on Windows XP Professional) and you enter the directory, which is actually a junction, freecommander will follow to the real-destination instead of the junctioned one. Example: junction c:\testfolder d:\my documents\testfolder_real (junction is a tool from ...

Rel314: Changing eg. Servername in Address Line takes long

Hi. Changing the Servername in the Address-Line (ALT-G) takes long. eg. "\\servername\sharename\test\testdir2" to change it to: "\\server24\sharename\test\testdir2" will let freecommander run in network timeouts all the time. I presume, that FC tries to reach the server to verify/load the directory-...

Hi.

Now I know, why I was confused.
It does not work on Network Computer Base.
When I type \\computername\ I will not get the Sharenames.
I now tried it with folders, and you are right, it is working there.

Kind Regards and a Happy New Year to you :-)

But how would you realize Real Time Scans with freecommander ? It is not run the whole time, so it cannot detect changes. Scheduled updates do sometimes make it even worse, as it might tell you "file not found" because the file was written shortly after the scheduled scan. Thats why I recommend Desk...

Typing folders after ALT-G and Folderlist

Hi. Could freecommander support the quick-folder-help like explorer does ? I mean, when you take a simple explorer and start to type eg. "c:\" it will show you right after you typed the "\" a folder list of c:\. If you continue to type, eg. "c:\windows\" right after you type the "\" at the end again...

How should FC detect changes, that have been done without it, like a new word-document.
This kind of stuff only makes sense, if you have a service that is running all the time like the desktop searches do.

Kind Regards
