Search result set selection unstability against sorting

Hello, An example will speak better : here is the behavior of the folder pane I would expect to also encounter in search pane : http://forum.freecommander.com/download/file.php?mode=view&id=253&sid=4c15f2e57ae87b641a2941ebaf89496e I select files a.txt and b.txt, the I sort by name descending : my se...

Re: Regression (?) -> Search : excluding subfolder path rege

Hi Karol, Thanks for your reply. My example is just a simplified example to show the case. I do need complex regex in case I want to exclude specific folders, date-formatted, only if they are subfolders of other stereotyped folders, etc. So my post stands : how would you filter exclude with regex on...

Regression (?) -> Search : excluding subfolder path regex

Hello, About a year ago, I had been impressed by the quick implementation of search filtering on full subfolder path : http://forum.freecommander.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=6232 I recently installed FreeCommander XE 2015 Build 705 64-bit donor on Windows 7 64-bit The checkbox "Use for full subfolder pa...

Links manager (shortcuts, junctions & hard links)

It would come handy to enjoy create, get attributes, "list links to" and of course delete around junctions, hard links and shortcuts (as some functionality exists currently with "paste as shortcut").

Thanks

Re: Back-ref capturing groups in multirename regex replaceme

My bad, functionality is already available :
FC XE uses Perl-style capturing groups back referencing (e.g. : $1) vs. Java-style (e.g. : \1)
Can't seem to find it in the fine manual though.
Nice, anyway.

Back-ref capturing groups in multirename regex replacement

As is (build 690), in multi rename functionality, the "Replace with" field doesn't seem to accept back-references to regex capturing groups defined in "Search for" field, as discussed in : http://forum.freecommander.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2189 This capability would make multi rename extremely (more...

Re: how to swap words in multi-rename

Hello, I actually noticed but I was willing to bump on an elaborated example rather than to start a brand new thread. Even if ZX is now an ol' granpa' (like the rest of us by now), I wish he/she still has most of his mind and switched to FC XE (b689 hopefully) ...but everyone is welcome to reply ! s...

Re: how to swap words in multi-rename

Hello ZX, I like your example so I tried it as is (slight change on extension from "foo" to "pdf") It just doesn't work in multirename search and replace regex boxes (as of b689) Does FC actually offer regex catpuring groups and back references ? (with \1...\n or whatsoever) Can you provide an actua...

Re: Slow copy/paste on Win7 (FC hooking to something)

My problem seems to have little to do with FC although it doesn't happen with the common Windows file explorer. Sysinternals Procmon revealed massive access to Recycle Bin whatever I was doing (copying, moving and of course deleting) ; weird ; Win wizs would probably understand why. Emptying trash c...

F2 shortcut to edit current Favorite item label

F2 shortcut to edit current Favorite item label would come handy when massively editing Favorites
(as is, I only seem to be able to edit by doubl-clicking)
Thx

Favorites : additionnal visual codes (colors, lines)

Hi, I'm using quite intensively Favorites hierarchy to organize access to a pretty large amount of paths in a multi-env. IS. Offering additionnal visual codes - background & font colors as well as horizontal line-separators - would bring great value to the existing ordering/foldering capabilities. T...

Slow copy/paste on Win7 (FC hooking to something)

Hi, I'm having a "slow" issue on copying/moving on Windows 7 32b Ultimate (not on 64b at work) with FC tested up to beta 682. Something in FC looks like hooking to some event of some sort because it hangs for a while (sometime as long as 30s) before giving back control. The action, though, is effect...

Re: Use for full subfolder path : won't actually match full

Works for me in build 674...
...including with full path regex as can be \\APP\\\d{8} to match only date-formatted dir names below an "APP" dir.
THANK-YOU !
