Re: 573 R-click drag does not work
Thanks very much, Karol -- you identified a significant clue. When I unchecked [Select items in NC-mode], the R-click drag worked properly! There was a green-arrow icon during the drag, and when released on the opposite panel, the expected context menu offering Copy, Move, or Create shortcuts appear...

Re: 573 R-click drag does not work
I reinstalled 570, and R-click drag works correctly. Then installed 575, and it doesn't work. (Win7/64) In 570, a R-click drag is accompanied by a green arrow icon, and when released on the other panel the context menu offers to copy, move, or create a shortcut for the item being drug. In 573 and 57...

573 R-click drag does not work - FIXED
Right-click drag an object to the other panel does not work in 573 (the object does not move). It worked in 570.

Re: Renaming File error: "Compare folders. Access is denied"
I can't comment on the main point of BGM's post because I have no experience with it. But I would like to say something on the sub-topic of "Compare folders" appearing in the error message. These are actually two separate issues, as is evident from the fact that the same phrase appears in ...

Re: Newbie question!
The two folder/file panels are independent of each other. This is different than from what you are used to in Windows Explorer. It sounds like what you want is to show the tree panel . You can do that with the toolbar button or via the View menu. You can do this for either or both folder/file panels...

Re: 570 Modified column sort ASC = DESC
I think there is still something strange going on with sort order. There are actually two different problems, depending on whether the column is selected by mouse click at the top of the column, or by a Ctrl+Fn shortcut. First I should state my understanding of how the sort function and sort orders ...

Re: What is a File Container tab?
... As it is, you have to bear in mind that a file-container tab does not work the same as a regular tab, and to me, having to remember that is the gotcha. I agree, BGM: The key is to remember that we are operating in a file-container -- this is the general condition. In my case, the specific conse...

Re: What is a File Container tab?
Thanks, Karol and Uwee, for getting me started on File Containers. I see... they are like Win 7 Libraries but much more powerful and useful! Win Libraries are too limited, and therefore useless for me :^| One "gottcha" about File Containers is that we must be careful to remove an item from...

Re: 570 Modified column sort ASC = DESC
Thanks very much for that helpful explanation. Excellent. So the sorting is not evident immediately after applying the settings, only the width and (from 573) alignment settings are dynamic -- and I had been looking for dynamic change in the display. I think this difference would be good to note in ...

Re: 570 Modified column sort ASC = DESC
The problem is more general than what I originally reported. First a bit more background: I am trying to modify the Custom Columns for Details view, which I think came as the default in FC XE. I have not made any other custom column set. 1. Setting column ALIGNMENT to either Left Aligned (<---) or R...

Re: 570 - Cursor indexing after multiple delete - 2 bugs
I can confirm the first bug, but the second bug does not occur for me -- instead, the second step simply repeats the first bug. (The first bug occurred in my previous version as well, 550.) Furthermore, the bug occurs for me with any deletion -- whether permanant or to the Recycle Bin. I would descr...
