you are completely right.

when starting R584 one of the radio buttons where settings are saved should be active already,
because settings are located in one of the three possibilities, so the path should be selected.

you're right, C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\FreeCommanderXE folder is recreated although "FC install folder" has been selected.

Any ideas on the settings? delete your setting [backup before] then start FC and test again. if your problems are gone then I most likely :roll: blame your settings. have a look at http://www.forum.freecommander.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3879 from time to time FC is not responding as well for som...
