I often choose to do that so I can later manipulate the files returned from the search as I choose to. I'm not sure how to do that in the FC XE version (0.0.0.591) I am using no...

Re: Is it possible to STOP viewing compressed files as folde
I found no such setting. The compressed files appear on the left hand side Directory Tree view. I do NOT wan that. I want them treated just like any other file is as far as its display in ANY window. When I click on it, that is a different story - one that need not be addressed now. It is the DISPLA...

Rename file ... ooops ... where is that dialog box hidden no
I am running Free Commander with a single pane (tree/files), right click on a file, select rename, and ... the dialog box is hidden under several other application windows. One would think it would be displayed on top of everything else as it was the most recent action. I have to go minimizing windo...

Is it possible to STOP viewing compressed files as folders ?
ZIP / RAR files appear as directories ... can this be stopped ? I understand this may
be controlled by the OS.
I am using Windows 7 64 bit, service pack 1, an i5 Ivy Bridge 3750 with SSD, and
Free Commander version 2009.02b.

Drag and drop file - gets stuck on a folder
I am running Free Commander showing one pane (tree and files displayed). I left click on a file, and attempt to drag it to a directory that is in the right hand side files view. If I drag it over a directory I cant get it out of that directory (have not released mouse button ... still just dragging)...

How to view JUST one pane ? (Split window 100/0) ???
How can I set things up so that only a single pane is viewable. If I click on split window (100/0), and that resize the FULL APPLICATION window, boom, there is that second pane. I then have to go and reset the window. Then if I resize it .... ooops ... have to go reset it again. Can I just set it so...

Where is the recycle bin ???
I was wondering HOW I can view a directory tree like in Windows Explorer and get to the recycle bin from there ?
I prefer that method rather then a menu selection or whatever. I DO NOT want to empty the recycle bin, I want to VIEW its contents and the perhpas DECIDE whether or not to delete.
