In my opinion this is not a good idea because its only a text string which is used for the folder name and not a real date - so a senseful sorting by the name is quite impossible with this format.....

2&4) - You can use the shortcut [ALT+F] - Tree panel toolbar button is available and can be added manually (thats my favorite to work quickly with the tree) - Using either of the possibilities to close the Favorite tree does not only empty the tree but also hides it witout any additional actions...

since 594? the quickviewer does not use the plugins anymore - every other possibility (text, binary, internet...) is working.
Even forcing the use of plugins by the context menu only leads to a blank viewer panel.
The normal viewer (F3) uses the plugins without any problem.

Confirmed - but the behaviour on my system is quite interesting:

Starting with this option set opens fC in normal size, then the window minimizes for a short time and immediately returns to the original size....

Perhaps its a timing question and has something to do with restoring of saved settings?

I think this a bug, because the context menu of the favorites still has the two options "open" and "open in a new tab" - but they both have the same functionality...

All the suggestions (preferences in the options, change behaviour with Shift to the opposite) are good ideas; so ++

I dont know if it will help - but if you are logged in you can go to the "User control panel" of the board and have a look on: - Overview / manage subscriptions (topic subscribed??) - Profile / edit account settings (email??) Perhaps give a try to unsubscribe plus new subscribe of the topi...

In the dialog "Set filter" you can check or uncheck the option "Use for both lists" and you can define your own presets via the button "Define..."

- First make a structureless view of the folder you want: [View] - [Plain view - files]
- Then mark all files
- Then [File] - [Multi rename...]

and you have the same result in fC as shown in your screenshot

I agree, it could be really dangerous. So i would vote for the warning dialog even starting with more than one file = 2 files. The dialog could have the options:

- nevertheless open all selected files (user must be aware of the possible risks)
- open only the first file
- cancel

Though the yet not implemented Layouts can do this and much more than you want - the single thing with the favorites in both panels can still be done with [Folder] - [Favorites] - [Favorite folders - edit...]: define the second folder in the input box: "Inactive panel"

I also had probems with understanding the syntax... But now it seems to be be logical for me (if you understand the "-x" not as as "delete x character from the right side" but as "start with character x from the right side") n, -1 = starting with the first character fro...
