Re: Menu looks weird
I am also getting two different styles for the two menus. That has been the case for quite a few builds in the past. Just to help define things, the first context menu shown above is for files or folders (right click on a file or folder, including in the Tree), the second context menu is for control...

Re: 601 Tree Per Tab opens Favorites tree in all tabs
Still a problem in 611. I enabled View > Status Bar > Show Spacer Bars, and the Favorites Tree appeared in the visible tabs of both panes. When I moved to a different tab and back, a Folder Tree was opened as well in that tab. Note that the bug happens when various settings are changed, not just wit...

Re: 611 - selecting files
Ah, the error is intermittent. Are you getting wrong counts both inside and outside of zip files? If so, then it's probably not because of the zip file.

Re: 611 - selecting files
the files where selected inside a zip file. however I don't see a reason why Fc should make a difference beetween selecting files inside a zip or not. I just tested 611 in a zip file, and the count behavior is the same as outside a zip file. Are you are getting correct counts outside a zip file? Is...

Re: 611 - selecting files
Yes, that's a good way to summarize it, sdb.sdb wrote:one file: blue or red or both = 1 count
more than one file: 1 red highlighted = 1 count

Re: 611 - selecting files
I said above that "The count is for the number of selected files, regardless of where the highlight is." More correctly, if an object is highlighted and no others are selected, then the status bar says "1/n Object(s) selected" (where n is the total number of objects in the pane)....

Re: 611 - selecting files
Sorry, I didn't see that earlier.
All I can say is that 611 works correctly for me in this regard (Win7).

Re: 611 - selecting files
I need more information to understand the problem. I presume what you mean by "counted" is the number of selected files reported in the status bar at the bottom of the pane, in your case "3/27 Object(s) selected." And apparently red is a selected file, while blue is highlighted. ...

3) Is there an option for sorting folders by name and show them at the top above the files? I see the below the files option. Make your settings as follows: View > File/Folder List > Sorting page, [x] Sort folders always by name [ ] Folders at the end of the list [ ] Folders like files [ ] Folders ...

By "FreeCommander 9" do you mean FC 2009?Galton wrote:I have installed FreeCommander 9 on my laptop with Windows 7 64x.
If so, I wonder if it would help to try the beta version of FC instead? Just making a wild guess here.
