"New Name" is blank after reload although "Auto preview" is checked:

increasing/decreasing "step" toggles from 1 to 100, probably not exactly what users expect:

- under Tools\Settings select "user FC" for file/folder operations - set quick viewer settings as shown below [maybe not necessary] - select a text file - press "delete" button on your kb - when dialog appears press enter => file is deleted, ok! now do as described but press CTRL...

- press F7
- maximize some another application like eg. FireFox
- press ALT+Tab to go back to FC
=> fail!
- click on FC icon in taskbar to bring back FC
=> fail again!

when "quick viewing" a text file I'd like to be able to select all text via "CTRL+A" and copy it to clipboard via "CTRL+C".

I see no problem.
It works better in XE -

Karol, the issue here is that one cannot change the file extension in XE.

- select some file e.g. test.txt
- CTLR+Q
- F2 then rename file extension

PS: works in FC2009

you can create a toolbar containing your favorite folders (incl. caption, custom icon) under menu Tools\Favorite Tools.

when creating new folder via RMB dialog displays "New File":
