yeah, finally I figured out what caused the issue: http://www.freeimagehosting.net/t/z58lo.gif although being admin, after creating executables as *.exe; *.bat, I was not allowed to delete the file afterwards. the issue was gone after moving the complete FC folder from "D:\Program Files". ...

this is probably by design. for instance 25/75 will change the active panel size to 25%.

anyone running 586 on a win7x64 machine? are you facing the same issue? although I am an administrator, UAC off, permission, security, etc. everything is fine I am not able to delete my own files, even when I took ownership. I tried everything, even disabling and enabling my win account. as deletion...

confirm, to reproduce:
- select file, then from Menu: File/Pack
- click "Configure" button
- Zip Packer tab
- change compression level
- click Apply

as far as I can tell the problem is caused by HashMyFiles itself, you may report this potential bug to Nir Sofer. it could be caused by using an older IDE, probably Visual C++ 7.1/8.0. you may have noticed a different mouse icon in HMF, compared to drag&drop into other applications. funny enough...
