Re: Please add a "open new window" option
yes, mine was set to single instance that I have now changes to multi instance. however, then onward it is eluding me. The second screen in your pic is not appearing on my system (64 bit w10), nor is joby appearing and nor appearing from clicking on edit favourites also. Also, in the right pane &quo...

Re: Folder - Compare doesn't show folder tree of compared fi
ok. As I am using in single pane, there is nothing in my right pane, so it is not working that way. Seems I have to go through synchronize option only. just that. When some command is not working, say, it didn't find two folders to compare, or it finds a file, it should give an error message to that...

why does fccontextmenu64 shows in systray
I remember I had previously asked question about fccontextmenu64, I don't remember I have migrated from w8-32 bit to w10-64 bit and now I am finding a fccontextmenu64 always showing in systray. What is the purpose? no such icon was appearing in 32 bit, clicking it shows only Exit and about, and abou...

Please add a "open new window" option
often we are working in fc with all our many tabs open, and the view is set and fills up the fc window. We don't want to disturb that and we quickly want to do something else in some other partitions/ folders/ files. For this, windows explorer has a handy option of File - Open new window. With this ...

Folder - Compare doesn't show folder tree of compared files
Not really a bug, but it is missing such an essential info that I thought to post here. Actually, I have some dozens of backups created by slimcleaner across the years, in various installations of w7-w8-w10, that runs into several GB. I thought to compare them and keep only one set of backup drivers...

Folder - Compare doesn't do anything
running 716 32 bit public beta on w10-64 bit When I go to menu Folder - Compare and click, it doesn't do anything. No window opens, nothing at all happens. Similarly pressing keyboard short Alt-V to compare doesn't respond at all. Though I could bring the screen through Synchronize and then go to co...

Re: Oh, it does find/ search within doc and xls files
thanks. I could download and install it, but it didn't run because convertor option is just not appearing in my non-donor version. :-( I think this ability to search within the content of the files is very much required, even for non-donors. There is no other effective software also, which we can in...

Yes, thanks. I selected "use freecommander" and I am now seeing the tabbed window. however, whether I select "with dialogue" or without dialogue, all move/ copy operations are failing with message "unable to create directory". I have set "auto rename target file&qu...

Re: Oh, it does find/ search within doc and xls files
And I was under the impression that donor version and free user versions are exactly same and have all features, it is just that donors are given more versions early.
how naive of me.
Thanks.

Oh, it does find/ search within doc and xls files
After years of using fc, and simultaneously, years of searching for method to be able to search within content of MS Word and MS Excel files, (no effective software found), yesterday, I got the pleasant surprise (amazement) that fc itself is fully capable of searching some text withing .doc and .xls...

"Auto rename target file" ticking doesn't stick nor followed
To copy a file, when we use Shift F5 in a folder on selecting a file, a window opens that asks us the name of the new file we want. There is "Auto rename target file" option, but even if we tick it, it disappear when we copy next file there or anywhere. In the next window it is unticked ag...
