Selecting Settings | View | Tree > File system/Favorite items tree = "one tree for both panels" automatically anchors the entire tree on the left of the file system panels. If there is not a parameter to place the tree on the right, could you please consider implementing this option?

Further troubleshooting has revealed that this is not explicitly an FC setting (reverted to default profile by deleting %userprofile%\Application Data\FreeCommanderXE), but there is some difference between FC XE and the previous release using the same visual settings for XP...
