I must have had one of those too, I had an e-mail notification but no message here today. Thanks for the cleanup, Dreamer.

Nopes, nothing is sacred to sp4mm3rz. I've seen that PM spam in other forums.

Check"Pack all subdirectories" when packing, and "Unpack path names if stored" when unpacking.

it must be related to your system, maybe something you have running in the background (what antivirus?). 512MB of RAM is on the minimal side for XP, but it shouldn't choke on a decompression that easily. I just tried it a couple of times, one file was around 76MB, no sign of any slowdown. Let's hear...

I think what is wanted is for FC to be just like Windows Explorer. That can be done by hiding one pane. There is another thread covering this somewhere.

I can never figure out why anyone would want to do that.

Or -- is it just that the tree view is missing?

In other words, an option to recreate directory structure when copying files from multiple directories, maybe in flat view to make the selections? Or a simpler task, just mirroring the directory structure. It's a nice dream. To tell the truth, it has crossed my mind a few times. There have been requ...

One can argue until the wind blows vertically, but it's not going to change much. Total Commander fans are used to using F5 to copy; they aren't going to be swayed. Other dual-pane file managers use it. I was already accustomed to it when I switched from 2xexplorer to FC. It was one of the things th...

Well, Microslopt deserves a rusted jar lid as a medal for Win7, IMO. It seems there are less problems with Vista x64. I would edit the registry for myself, but I can't advise anyone else to do this in Win7.

There are no tabs, the file is created with spaces. Not so great, but if you need fancier lists there is other freeware available just to make lists. AFAIK there is no way to choose columns. I only use FC for listing when I'm in a hurry :) What font are you using? It has to be monospaced to look hal...

I didn't have to take ownership or do any other extra steps just to look in. You would if you wanted to modify something, I suppose.

I had a lot more trouble when I first wanted to get at the default user pics in order to customize a couple of them. They really put up a fight :D

Might be a UAC problem. Win7 is a dog's aunt. Did you copy the whole FC directory or use the installer and just copy the INI files? I didn't try FTP-ing while I was fooling around in 7 for a few days, but I did see that my settings were there. I had copied all from a USB drive that I carry my favori...
