I don't think so. You would have to use something that reads EXIF data. I don't know of anything that will change the timestamp according to that, but it's certainly possible that it exists somewhere.

Also see this thread. Some AV and malware-hunting software have poor definitions, too broad based. I can scan all my files with ClamWin, with a fresh database, and turn up nothing. If I used one of the more popular AVs, I would lose some useful software. So I take it all with a grain of salt.

You can try Synchronize Directories with filtering. It doesn't seem to get all the unwanted file types out though. :( But if a lot of other files do ride along, you can filter for them in flat view and delete them.

Other programs -- notably web browsers -- also use Ctrl + R as an alternative refresh command. As for consistency, the F5 for copy-to is right next to F6, move-to, so there is internal consistency.

Anyway, if you don't like it, you can define your own keyboard shortcuts for just about everything. :D

Ctrl + V does fine for me.

But I must echo the praise for that copy button. I would hate to be without it!

FTP - problems ending session

I have had some complaints from FC before, usually when I try to change to another drive after FTP-ing. Because of that, I use a dedicated FTP tab. But since I moved to vista x64, I've had more messages popping up. "Cannot focus a disabled or invisible window" still comes up but there are ...

I had some hope of running it under Wine, but it wouldn't go. All it said was"Exception EAccess violation in module FreeCommander.exe at 0000C618 etc. etc. etc...." which I take to mean "No way!" Guess I'll have to keep Windows ;)

I think so too. It is very hard to learn two or three or half a dozen conflicting sets of key commands, one for every program in daily use. "F" for "Filter" is logical only in a world where "F" doesn't already mean "Find" to almost everyone.

No problem with the language -- your question is clear :) Ctrl + F is not to search, it is to filter files, to show only one kind of file. To go back, right-click on the address bar (the bar above the files view that shows the path) and choose "All files (*.*)" It is easier to use the quic...

I doubt you can do that. Not with the manufacturer's proprietary mess, anyway. And slipstreaming Vista is apparently not so easy. But make those disks ! The recovery partition on the hard drive could become corrupted, or you might have to replace the drive, and then at least you will be able to rein...

Ah well, I've been running into the same nag dialog now that I'm doing some updating of files. It's a basic Vista thing, not related to FC, so I guess there's no way around it.
