Works fine for me in 577, BGM, both with and without NC-mode. You might try that version because several select and drag-and-drop problems were introduced, then fixed, in the several releases just prior to it.

570 is the most recent general public release, while 577 is the most recent release to the donor community. What version are you using, freeman? Your problem sounds similar to this report viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3675 but that was fixed in 573 and still works fine for me in 577.

It sounds like the problem is in the full-row select feature rather than select itself -- though it may have been introduced with fixes applied to selection behavior, particularly for NC-mode, in releases ~575 through 577.

Release 576 fixed two problems associated with NC-Mode drag operations, but now selections occur unexpectedly in NC-Mode, and some drag operations do not work.
