Re: 598 - quick filter toggle not working as expected
sorry, but I disagree. I don't think this is consistent! first let's have a look at the "flat view command" and how it's working: CTRL+B -> flat view is turned on CTRL+B -> flat view is turned off ok, so I can turn flat view on/off via CTRL+B (works as expected!) now lets have a look at Qu...

Re: ability to access mobile devices
Scott_Y do you consider 2009.02b beta? It's not working there either! for improvement sake, you need to compare any FM software (no matter in what state) to Windows Explorer and other commercial FM software! if freeware sucks no one will ever use it, even though it may be free! as an explorer replac...

Re: option to set a standard "compare files" application
I figured out a work-around for this. simply move the *.* filter to the bottom.
I believe this is a bug/limitation, the 'filter' position should be irrelevant.

Re: 597 - seach window redesign
Simply click on the splitter. Ah, that's a nice alternative. I've often tried to drag the splitter, but that's not possible. sorry for asking, but where the heck is my splitter? additionally I believe when the search window is empty buttons like cut, copy, delete... should be grayed out. http://i.i...

Re: ability to access mobile devices
Dreamer, I don't understand how it's supposed to "partly" work on your side. the issue(s) is pretty simple: first, connect your smart phone (no matter which brand) via USB to your PC. now you most likely will be able to access it in Win Explorer or as mentioned in some other FM but XE. sec...

Re: ability to access mobile devices
from a users perspective I don't care which protocol might be used behind the scenes but I care when I cannot access a smart phone and other devices in XE.
PS: works fine in other FM e.g. Xplorer^2

Re: 597 - seach window redesign
this is rather a work-around than a solution as I cannot toggle views (with or without search parameters)You could use the option "Auto hide search parameters on search end".

option to set a standard "compare files" application
in Settings/Compare files one can assign an application for each file extension eg. .txt, doc, etc. in the Filter column in order to compare each file type with the corresponding 3rd party application. I desperately miss the option to set a standard "compare files" application (in my case ...
