Re: how to arrange folders according to folder size
it works with menu folder/size of folder (or alt plus f9). but it does not work when only checking settings ...folders/sorting like files. this is a handy feature because you could have empty folders. thx OOOPS addendum sorting like files means, it does mix folders with files (according to their siz...

how to arrange folders according to folder size
Imagine, you could have some folders without content (for example after copying pdfs in flat screen view).
Now, by arranging folders according to their file size you could find out empty folders (without any files).
How do you arrange folders according to their size?
Thanks!

Re: Feature request for Fc XE: Native support for 7 zip
I believe that an implementation would be relatively easy. the status on the page http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/Total7zip.html is status: freeware. (but the question is if its free for native implementation for other tools than tcommander) the registrar of totalcmd.net is TOTALCMD . NET a t monik...

Re: 596 Speed/opening.
the outer frame is faster and the content a little bit slower. Yes, I can confirm that. But it is not a problem or so.
hybrid hd (momentus xt 500gb)
But probably if I hadn't a combined ssd/hd hybrid, it would be more a problem. I don't know.

Re: 596 Speed/opening.
for me the speed works fine. It's the same as before, even though the file size is bigger (executable).

Feature request for Fc XE: Native support for 7 zip
Native support for 7 zip (to be able to switch between the two zippers, I don't know the current one).

Re: 595 unpack zip files does not work properly with 7 zip p
true it does work. thanks for that. Maybe it could make sense to implement both zip packers as default and you could choose between pkzip or 7 zip. or write a HOW TO somewhere. But probably there are copyright issues if 7 zip is implemented as default, I don't know. I had no idea what to change in w...

Re: 595 unpack zip files does not work properly with 7 zip p
it does work. (1) You have to select the Total7Zip.wcx file and set it active, then (2) extensions "zip.jar.war" must be written in the Extensions column (otherwise it won't work). I forgot to write/supplement "zip.jar.war", that's the reason why it did not work first and a error...

Re: 595 unpack zip files does not work properly with 7 zip p
hmmm thanks for your answer. and where can you download the 7 zip plug in (if it exists)? And whats the file name ? When I packed the files for the 1 GB size zip I used the default settings in 7 zip. But unzip did not work in XE. total7zip never heard of that. hmm is this the plug in 7 zip for total...

it does not work properly to unpack zip files with XE with 7 zip packed files archives (zipped files in *.zip format with 7 zip).
maybe it could make sense to implement 7 zip as default or as an alternative zipper.

reactivate saved configuration
hhuuuu I am very keen on a feature with that you could select the config files and eg. after a restart the personal configuration would be set. It's quite bad to copy the files always in the /user/appdata/local/freecommander folder manually with explorer or doublecommander if you want to reinstall X...

Re: An X to close the favorites tree
thanks for your reply, sorry it seems that I am a bit confused but also still quite new here. I'll try to nail down in the right forum next time. Having a toolbar button is a good idea, nevertheless I think that some buttons should be voluntary (if needed) because too many default buttons make thing...
