Re: Move files to a sprecial folder with single click / shor
Does the bat overwrite an existing file in the destination? the bat file will prompt you to overwrite if the file already exists you can suppress the overwrite prompt by changing to /-y to /y you can add "pause" to the 2nd line of the bat file to see what is going wrong with the command. ...

Re: Find and delete empty folders?
well the reality is the command will still only remove empty directories.. so shouldn't mess with anything critical. Well, yes, well, well, it should....and may be empty directories are needed at other places... did you correct the %ActivDir% variable? I didn't even know there was anything to be co...

Re: Find and delete empty folders?
the syntax looks correct. What does the dos box show? I had tried a few times to recognize the text, but it runs to fast. Can I stop the scrolling? you can add a second line to the bat file for /f "usebackq delims=" %%d in (`"dir /ad/b/s | sort /R"`) do rd "%%d" pause ...

Re: Find and delete empty folders?
Many thanks, therealjd, That sounds great. I cannot get it to work, it looks like that: http://i.imgur.com/UXbgh3h.png http://i.imgur.com/o6g6goB.png I start the bat, a black DOS box appears, but the folders are still there. the syntax looks correct. Re: Find and delete empty folders?
I made a bat file that does this for me. delete-empty-directories.bat with the following in the file for /f "usebackq delims=" %%d in (`"dir /ad/b/s | sort /R"`) do rd "%%d" save the bat file to a location and then call up the bat file in your favorites and use the %act...

hot button in address bar - requests
love the breadcrumb style dropdown in the address bar.. However there are a few things that would make it better. 1. if i could resize the text for drop-down. Similar to sizing the text in the file window, (maybe they could be linked?) 2. add a drop-down list for the current directory, not just the ...

Large Icon support in drop-downs favorites toolbar

635: Refresh issue on Windows XP
before the update to 635, scrolling windows in XP was smooth, now the display flickers like it's doing a refresh, but there's no change to the files or folders in the window. Altering the 'refresh' options in the file/folder list has no effect on the flicker. This seems to be only affecting my XP ma...
