xe601 on w7 I am exploring a folder. I want to go to a file, so I press its first letter, say, o 1. It doesn't start searching from the current file location onwards. It always goes to the first file/folder starting with that letter, o, in the current folder. I think that is not correct. It should g...

I have 7z installed.

When I double-click on a .zip file, that opens like a folder and shows the individual files in it in the file list pane. I don't want that to happen.

I want .zip file to open in that. What setting should I change?

I think it is intuitive that the current active tab in current active panel automatically gets reflected in left pane folder tree. Which are the situations that you envisage in which a user would want some other folder tree displayed in left pane, and some different folder content open in right pane...

Indeed, redefining favs takes a few keys. It is really easy.

just that, a user should be made aware of what all he is going to lose in a new install or upgrade.

I think that was general behavior earlier. now, middleclicking on a displayed folder name is opening it in new tab. but, the same is not happening in favorite folders even now. middleclick has no effect on that, left click opens fav in current tab. hope you would consider including fav folders also ...

installed 601 on w7

I had 4-5 folders set as my fav folders (in 591). those were appearing in fav folder icon click.

installing 601 has reset them, removed them all, now not even a single folder is appearing.

I re-assigned them.

installed 601,

fav folder opening in new tab is not working
- middleclick doesn't open a fav folder in new tab in current panel.
- ctrl middleclick doesn't open a fav folder in new tab in other panel.

leftclick is opening it in current tab.

yup, it is showing 601 now. Thanks. Downloading... What was that, I had opened fresh page, still it is showing contents from old cache? some cookies setting went wrong or I have to do some change in my firefox 13 setting to always see latest from site. my query answered. you can close this thread no...
