Re: [SOLVED] SFTP missing?
Thanks, I have downloaded the 64-bit version and now it is available.
It is very unstable, anyway, freeCommander hangs often and I have to kill it.

[SOLVED] SFTP missing?
Hi, According to this info: https://freecommander.com/fchelpxe/en/SFTPFTP.html „There are two possibilities to define a new SFTP connection: Main menu item "Tools → SFTP new connection..."....“ But in the main menu, there is „FTP New connection...“ only and there is no „ S FTP New connecti...

Re: Total7zip Plugin Installer
I have no clue if there is a benefit using the 64-bit version instead of the 32-bit one. So I install whichever comes to my eyesight

Re: Total7zip Plugin Installer
Yes, I have both.
Maybe for cases like this, there should be a question „Cannot detect FreeCommander version, please select 32 bit or 64 bit“?

Open archives when pasting thir addres in the addres bar
When I paste the address of an archive in the address bar of FC (for example c:\packefile.zip), instead of opening the archive in FC, it gets open by an externally associated application for archives.
Could this feature be added?

Add slash at the end of the copied folder path
When I copy the path to the current folder, the slash at the end of the path is missing. For example, instead of getting „C:\Program Files\Common Files \ “ I get „C:\Program Files\Common Files“. So I have to type the slash every time when I append a filename to the path. Maybe there is sth. in the s...

Re: Total7zip Plugin Installer
It is better now, nothing got damaged, the console did not close itself, but it seems that my 32 bit FC was detected as 64, as Total7zip.wcx64 was set for the plugin to be used, instead of Total7zip.wcx.

Re: Total7zip Plugin Installer
Okay, I have figured it out.
Your script is removing the BOM from the INI file. I have opened and saved freecommnder.ini with BOM and now everything is fine.

Re: Total7zip Plugin Installer
Thanks, I think there should be a pause at the end of the script otherwise, there is nothing to prevent the console from closing. I knew how to fix the FreeCommander, I have plenty of backed up settings ;) I have renamed the power shell file and "Run with PowerShell" again, here is the mes...

Re: Total7zip Plugin Installer
I have tried the new script. I unpacked the installer folder, then I "run it with PowerShell", I was asked for some requirements (Yes, No, Yes to All...., I cannot tell more, because I run it for a second time and they are not required anymore) and I pressed Y. I closed FreeCommander and I...

Re: Total7zip Plugin Installer
This did not work for me.
I pressed yes, yes, yes.. then the console window got closes without a message success/fail or whatever. There was nothing in the freeComander/plugins/wcx folder, actually, there was no wcx folder at all.

Re: What comes closest to FreeCommander, but for Linux?
In my opinion, there is no reason to try Midnight Commander, unless you are using DOS or a Linux without a GUI.

Re: What comes closest to FreeCommander, but for Linux?
Double Commander, it also works in Windows.
In some aspects it is better, in others it is worse. Definitely FreeCommander looks much better.
