Shift+F5 functionality
It is often needed to copy a file to the same directory, only changing its name. A lot of file managers allow to do this via Shift+F5 key combination. But in FC, file just silently being copied to another panel  when it is not expected at all. This is very confusing. It would be good to have s...

Slow delete
When deleting a file, sometimes it is very slow... (access to the hard drive for 10-15 seconds, while GUI is frozen).
I don't remember such an issue with previous FC releases, seen in 2008.06.

So sorting by EXTENSION works properly then? It is only sorting by TYPE that does not function as expected? Type and Extension is NOT the same, for example Extension is . i ni, but Type is C onfiguration Settings, or . e xe - A pplication... If Sort by extension works good, then it's not a bug. Wel...

Sorting by Extension is wrong
There are two problems with it:
1. Changing direction of sorting does not work.
2. Alphabetical order is incorrent (for example, *.h.., then *c...., then *.s.., then *.p... etc).

Cannot rename file if another one with same name exists
While renaming a file (by F2), if another file with the new name exists in the same directory, it is impossible to replace it.
FC should warn about this, but allow replacing if "Yes" pressed.

Bug with viewing when there are some selected files
When there are selected files on the panel, pressing F3 always starts viewer for the 1st selected file, instead of the current one (under cursor).

Auto-highlight the text searched in files
When a file search is done with "search text in files" option, then it would be nice to have the searched text higlighted automatically in the file content viewer (as it could be done step-by-step now, by clicking on a file that was found, the text is copied to the clipboard, and then F3 i...

Typing into command line
I would suggest that starting typing a text would set focus to the command line immediately instead of activating search - better to have search by typing with pressed Alt key.
