Some Favourite toolbar icons are not drawing. They seem to be ones where I have specified the icon path.

I get this all the time. It can take over 30s or more sometimes to get a dialog to pop up and another minute before it even starts to delete files, for instance. Doesn't happen all the time but when it does it's infuriating. It would be nice to have more amodal operations, where FCXE doesn't have to...

I think you are referring to the FC Copy dialog.
I'm talking about the connection details progress panel at the bottom of the FTP panel.

Anybody else noticed this?
It makes file copying a real drag when you lose the connection every time.

How do I get rid of the FTP connection window?
It takes up too much room and if I minimise it it comes back the next time I use FTP.
I'm not interested in the progress of the commands just as I'm not in any file transfers on my hard drives.

With FTP window open, select a file in other pane. Hit Copy button and dialog appears. Hit Run and file is copied to FTP site.
But then FTP window disappears and it shows my Desktop files instead.
I have latest FC, this on 64-bit FC and Windows 7.
Also on Windows XP and 32-bit FC.

I'm being asked for an Administrator password when trying to download "FreeCommanderXE-32-donor_portable718.zip"
I'm not asked for the other files.

Because of this problem which has been going on for some time now, I use FastCopy to delete large numbers of files especially on my NAS drive. Otherwise FC either sits there with the busy icon or spends far too long counting the number of files to delete.
