1. Right, it was always like that, it's not a bug IMHO.

2. It's not possible AFAIK.

Confirmed in 650, Vista 32 bit, with default settings, non-NC mode.

Can't confirm with NC mode enabled.

Confirmed, but I'm not sure it's a bug. New white field is created over the old name.

Confirmed in 650, it was too late to fix this one before the final version.

Now I remember I had the same problem in the beginnings, so it's not a bad idea to do something, but I don't like the red color, it's too aggressive IMHO...

My suggestion is to use a negative color, so black background and white text, customizable, if possible.

You can change also the menu and toolbar background colors, in menu > tools > view style > Gradient - Custom...

I can't confirm it either (650, Vista 32), probably it's a non-FC issue, possibly some hotkey software, or other.

It's not easy to say what would be the best for default color, some users don't like too colorful fields, therefore it would be the best to add option - perhaps it might be shared with quick filter background color, before the new option will be added.

Do you mean the background color for that small field? It looks it not possible to change that color. It possible to change all other colors, status bar, quick filter field, but not that one. I use a dark theme, and this is probably the only color which I can't change, so it would be nice to have th...

Yes, but there was a bug for mp3 files, so try other file types, e.g. jpg. That mp3 bug is already fixed, but only in non-public version AFAIK. Final, public version will be available soon... BTW Please add a prefix with the build number you use in subject, it's important to help, reproduce and fix ...

Which version are you using? The color is NOT white when using quick find or quick search.

All color changes are in the settings, e.g.:

Settings > View > file/folder list > color/font
