I have been using FCXE as my primary file manager since it debuted for personal and business work and have had no issues. I use Windows Explorer as little as possible.

Ctl-V to paste into the Quick Filter in version 601 doesn't work. You have to right click in the filter and paste from the context menu.

Using Windows 7 Enterprise, SP1.

The quick filter is in pixels, not characters.

This has been fixed in v598.

The width of the quick filter field cannot be expanded beyond 250 in FCXE 597. The arrow button goes only to 250 and if you enter a greater amount, FC doesn't save the setting. I edited the .ini file and set QuickFilterEditFieldWidth=400, but that makes no difference, either. Regards, DG 08/13/2012 ...

A method to expand/collapse all categories would helpful. Perhaps add this to the short cut menu when you right click in the favorites tree?

Another idea: "Carousel". This doesn't limit what it contains and conveys the idea of a place where you can rotate items in and out.

I am a programmer and use the FC XE beta as my primary file manager in a production environment. It has not caused me any problems, so it's a serious app.

Perhaps what you're looking for is under settings, File/Folder Operations. In the General tab, ensure the option "Use dialog window for rename" is checked.

I have this problem in R531, in which I have enabled "Show parent folder '..' " in settings: 1. Open a .zip file 2. Click (or double-click) on the parent folder to leave the zip file. Result: Nothing happens. To get out of the .zip file, you must use some other method to return to the file...

This appears to be fixed in R519. I had the same problem in R518.
