This has been mentioned in the past......somewhere :D at the moment, some people are using an alternative method to handle copy/move functions, like SuperCopier or Teracopy... there are a few others I think as well, but until this function is built into FC...this is the only way at the moment to byp...

I can`t remember the site, but I was doing a specific search for a file manager to replace TurboNavigator which I was using for 4-5 years or so....that search was ongoing for about as long, but then found FC. As it (TurboNav) was no longer being developed I definitely wanted a replacement as TurboNa...

I have also noticed this when using the F5 key..... 1. Select a file, press copy button...works OK. 2. Select a file, press F5, press OK on Supercopier...works OK. BUT.... 3. Select a file, press F5, then press RETURN to activate the Supercopier copy process, then the folder is created with the file...

So, just to be clear...... Supercopier does NOT work even on it`s own ? Are you using a 64bit OS ? It will not work on any of those, it hasn`t been compiled for that yet.....so it says on the forum. Also, I`m not sure if SuperCopier works under Vista, the forum is in French and I can`t understand it...

Even SuperCopier ? Does it work on the system on it`s own ? and...did you definitely do this ?, I`ll just copy the last bit... tell SuperCopier to handle the FreeCommander.exe process.... SuperCopier Config > Handled processes > Add... Did you try that method ? The FC window pops up first, but Super...

Maybe the exe option is for people who have bat files blocked from running for security reasons ??? I don`t really know why that is the case, but you can email an exe file if you zip/rar it first..... and rather than split the file to send to your girlfriend, could you just upload it to a filesharin...

That`s odd...I`ve just tested it and it`s OK here.... be sure to look at the list of fields you have created and that they definitely are set to show the correct info, by selecting them individually, and choosing the field descriptor in the dropdown box for each. Otherwise, I can`t think what could ...

I don`t know about the low level workings of FC either, or if it calls on explorer to do anything..... but the speed of displaying/copying/moving files and folders is also reliant on the underlying speed of the pc as a whole. I don`t believe FC (or any other filemanager) claims to magically superboo...
