Keep Filter on tab change not work

#1 Post by linuxoid » 18.02.2021, 15:51

Option "Keep filter on tab change" disabled. If tab is switched to another quick filter is nevertheless activ.

Build 840 32-bit public, Windows 10 20H2 64-bit.

Can't confirm, with custom or default settings.

Perhaps you want "Deactivate filter on folder change", misunderstanding?

I understood. Must both Option enabled:
  • "Deactivate filter on folder change"
  • "Keep filter on tab change"
Now work. Thank you for support.

You're welcome.

I'm using the same combination.

Perhaps it's a bit confusing, because one option is negative, perhaps it would be clearer like this:
  • "Keep filter on folder change" (disabled by default)
  • "Keep filter on tab change" (enabled by default)
I think default options are not very good, filter is enabled on folder change, but in most cases it's not needed, it's a different folder, different files, so why filter is not deactivated by default? On tab change, and then go back, it's the same folder, same tab, but filter is deactivated, there is no reason for this, it's the same folder, same files.

Moved to General Discussion, it's not a bug.
