Drag & Drop

#1 Post by dmo » 05.01.2014, 19:02

I cannot drag'n'drop from Windows-Explorer into the FC-Window.
From FC to Explorer or Desktop works.
Any idea?

FreeCommander XE 2014 (release 650)
Windows 8.1, 64bit

Thank you

Just tried this on my win7x64 and it works fine. Maybe it's a win8 issue.
Try deactivating this one (activated by default):

Thank you, but this Option is already set. I tried it, after searching the forum and found a hint. Unfortunatly it doesn't help.

So it doesn't work with this option activated, nor with it deactivated?

It does not work in both cases.
I've tried it. I restarted the program after I changed the option.
(I also run the program as an administrator. I hoped that would help.)

Do you, by any chance, have any security suite installed? Like Comodo, Avast, Symantec, Eset etc.? If the answer is yes, could you try to temporarily disable it and retest the drag&drop feature?

No. Just Windows-Defender and Firewall. And it is a fresh installed system.

We'll have to wait for someone else to test this on a win8.1x64 machine (I don't have access to one).

By the way, i tested it on a Win7-64bit-Pc. No problems.
