New file right in an open zipfile

#1 Post by UFO » 11.02.2014, 20:52

If I have an open zipfile in one of the panels and I press shift+ctrl+n to create a new textfile (in the zipfile) the box for the name is showing. I can type in a name but after the click on the "OK" no file is created. Consequent in the context menue the point "new" is disabled. But it is possible to drag and drop files to an existing zipfile. Now I am not sure witch of this two points is not the correct one.

Thats expected behaviour and the same in other file mangers to.
No one misses such a function for archives.
Create your file outside of the archive and then use copy or drag and drop.
