How could I open a folder (by double clicking or pressing "Enter") in a file mananger, e.g. Explorer in the open FC and FC show the folder, the content of the folder in one of the two panels?

I bet there is no file manager out there that supports this option! That developer would have to be the most altruistic person ever! :)

But if you put a shortcut for FC XE in your SendTo folder, you could right click a folder in Explorer and choose it from the Send to menu.
The target for that shortcut should include the /C parameter.

Code: Select all

X:\Path\To\FreeCommanderXE\FreeCommander.exe /C
Note: to get to your SendTo folder hit Win+R and enter

Code: Select all

%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo
