Newbie question: is it possible to get FreeCommander XE to display the hardlink reference count for each file as a column in the detailed display view? Using NTFS/Windows 7 Pro.

+1 on this one
And it would be so useful to also be able to track symlinks (files, folders) and junctions.
(?)
Thanks

I just checked that symlinks (both file & directory) are visible through additional Windows column "Link Target"
Junctions targets (and thus status) are not visible though.
I would be nice that column be searchable.

Hello,
Rather than opening another specific F.R. I'll bump on this one :
Windows shortcuts (.lnk files) are also a pain to manage.
It would be nice if FreeCommander could offer a status info as the link destination on a selected .lnk file.
...as well as some menu/button/action to open the link (be it a file or a directory) in the same pane or the other one in FC.
Thanks.

For .LNK
- Enter or double click - open in the current panel
- Alt+Click - open in the other panel
- Menu https://freecommander.com/fchelpxe/en/Openfocused.html

Nice !
I confess I had totally miss the Alt+Click feature. cool !
When your priorities allow, please consider offering some tools around windows links, symlinks, hardlinks, junctions, etc. (creation, follow, counters, etc.)
Many thanks.

Opening symlink target in other panel ?

Hello,
Alt-Click is a real time-saver on .lnk files (that I use extensively)
I also use symlinks here and there but Alt-Click doesn't work on them, is there some other magic shortcut to do exactly the same trick ? (haven't found anything like it in the fine manual, shortcuts, menus...)
Thanks
