Not seeing my cellphone OR my Canon EOS70D DSLR

I notice that when I plug either my cellphone or my EOS70D DSLR into my PC, that Free Commander doesn't show them (Windows Explorer does).

Is there some setting somewhere that I need to change?

Thanks,

K

... or simply click on Desktop in the drive bar ("0") and then select Computer.

Yes, I can do these actions....but as a File Manager...why do these drives NOT show up along with all my other drives (I'm talking about showing "above" the main window in an area showing drives)?

I have 8 server shares that automatically show up there. I shouldn't have to drill down into "My Computer" (where the network drives also show up).

So? Free Commander sees all of my hard drives (including the network drives...why not other drives plugged in via USB)?

why not other drives plugged in via USB
Because your phone and camera are plugged as devices, not as drives!
If you'll change in phone "USB settings" you can see your device as drive(s). The same is for camera (if it has such a setting).

Thanks Timon. I don't think that my Canon EOSA70D has that option.

My phone does...it is called "Media device - use phone as usb storage and transfer file when it is connected to a Windows PC or a Mac".

I still don't see the phone show up as a drive (on the drive list towards the top of the screen - where all my network shares are displayed). Only when I drill down via "Computer".

I can't post attachments otherwise I would post a screen shot to show you.
